Women who claim of their innocence
Women who claim of their fierceness
Women that claim of their conscience
Women that claim motherhood to be women-hood
Women that know how to play well.
If violence was the language of the powerful and the legitimate, the world would be a bluer place.

He would often say Bangla movies are made on a small budget and he could not afford to waste his resources on re-takes - Waheeda Rahman on Satyajit Ray.

.. sometimes when we realize that dragon slayers are from fairy tales and from languages that we never truly ever understand.
A doctor can bury his mistakes, but an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines.
― Frank Lloyd Wright
Come home today.
Really, come home.
I have not only cleaned the floor today,
I have cleaned the walls.

Some impotent men, unable to satisfy their wives,
very cleverly wrote down on palm leaves
that it's a sin to make love
to someone else's wife.
They just wanted their own wives untouched.
There is no reason to be disturbed
by such dried-up,
fallen leaves.

"If 'aura' determines that which is created then does the 'aura' change with the 'medium' of creation?"
"Insect behavior mimicking human networks ... is actually not what’s most interesting about ant networks.
What’s far more interesting are the parallels in the other direction:
What have the ants worked out that we humans haven’t thought of yet?" - Deborah Gordon

Making films is about having absolute and foolish confidence; the challenge for all of us is to have the heart of a poet and the skin of an elephant.

- Mira Nair

"Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love."

― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

Grasslands (Malabar Mind - Poems)

In the sun stained pasture
The cows live
Ruled by their four stomachs.
Eat. Shit. Whisk a tail.
Chew some cud
and some more.
Let the bull fuck you
In the only way he knows how.
Roll your eyes at the farmer
Probably he'll see you
As more than a little mark
He makes on a clipboard
Seated in his red trailer truck.
So that when the calf arrives
He'll let you keep it awhile.
The cow's only expression is its moo.

Sleepstar (Malabar Mind - Poems)

of you,
from between
my closed eyes
and climbed
the skies
till it found a vacant space
to hang itself
it stays
so that
you know
every night
for me
a sleepless night.

- anita nair

I want (Malabar Mind - Poems)

I want to sit beside you in a rowdy dingy pub
Legs dangling, shoulders jostling, knees touching
I want your breath to drain the sweat off my brow
And for you to lick the bitterness off my lips
I want your eyes to seek mine
I want to hear the hushed lust in your voice amidst the noise.

I want to sit beside you in a dark balcony
Where yesterday's washing doesn't flap it crackling wings
I want us to hear the night call
Watch shadows play ball and time creep up a celestial
I want your fingers to unerringly seek mine
I want to exist as more than a mere habit.

- anita nair

Things to say

I have things to say
That I must not
I have nothing to say
That I must.
- Sohil

May I?

May I see you in a dream tonight?
- Sohil

I won't smile when I see you,
Because we are at unrest.

But how will I hide my goose flesh?

i want

I want to be where your bare foot walks,
because maybe before you step, you'll look at the ground.
I want that blessing.

fools fooling around

framing faces
naming places
tricking platinum
for silver

Beyond the world of their,
and them.
There is a world of you and I.
Of such grace,
Such beauty,
..and not a single lie.
Lie to me, my darling..
Lie to me.
You don't know me.
You don't love me.
Your love - a hidden treasure..
I am glad to encroach the untouchable.
Who are thee,
My Darling..
The emperor
Of my soul?

This revolution
Me and you
Our love
Cannot be true.
